With your permission, SaleScout may collect your device’s approximate or precise location to help show sales near you and provide location-based search results.
You can choose not to allow location access. If you do not allow it, you may still search for sales using a ZIP code or other available search options.

When you use SaleScout, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
Device type and operating system
App version
IP address
Browser type, if using our website
Pages or features used
General usage activity
Error reports and performance information
2. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage your SaleScout account
Publish and display sale listings
Show nearby sales and location-based results
Allow you to create and delete listings
Respond to support requests and feedback

3. Information Shared With Other Users
When you create a sale listing, certain information may be visible to other SaleScout users and visitors, including:

Sale date and time
Sale address or location
Sale description
Photos you upload
Any other information you choose to include in the listing
Please do not include private or sensitive information in a public listing.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate SaleScout, such as providers for:

Sale listings may be removed from public search results after the sale has ended. We may retain certain listing or account information for legitimate business, safety, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.
6. Your Choices and Account Management
You may:
Update certain account information through the app
Create or delete your listings
Turn off location access through your device settings
Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information
Request deletion of your SaleScout account
At this time, listings cannot be edited after they are published. If you need to make a change to a listing, you can delete the current listing and create a new one with the correct information.
To request account or data deletion, email us at support@salescoutapp.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.”
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmitting or storing data online is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
SaleScout is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through SaleScout, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
SaleScout may include links to third-party services, including map providers or external websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of SaleScout after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
